The Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment (MSSFE) is a charitable fund established to provide long-term financial support for programs and events that promote Science & Technology education and learning amongst the youth of British Columbia. By fostering hands-on inquiry and curiosity, we aim help in building vibrant and fulfilling future lives for the children in all of our communities.

Science Fairs, Science, Technology & Engineering (STEM) Contests and Expositions:

The real value for students lies in building life skills and confidence in their abilities, through individual self-directed research projects. Participation in such events inspires and excites young people - motivating them to become the technologists, engineers, techno-creatives and scientists who will lead, shape and contribute to tomorrow’s society.

Such events are only possible through the contributions of numerous volunteers including teachers, other educators, students & parents, the cooperation of local Schools Boards and extensive community involvement beyond the classroom - Corporate sponsorship, recruitment of mentors, judges from academia and knowledge-based companies as well as donations of financial support.

We ask for your help in creating a sustainable future for the Science Fair program and other high quality Science, Technology & Engineering (STEM) Contests and Expositions in British Columbia.
